Rajinikanth quietly watched Jailer 2 among fans at a Chennai theatre, his first such outing in 40 years, according to the makers. Composer Anirudh Ravichander, director Nelson Dilipkumar and grandson Lingaa were also present as the audience cheered. The Tamil film crossed ₹500 crore worldwide in its first week and is racing towards ₹700 crore.
