Pentagon fires top general over alleged leaks to media

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has fired Lieutenant General Brett Sylvia, director of the Strategy, Plans and Policy Directorate at the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The Pentagon says the Army general leaked classified information to the media. He had been under investigation over leaks of information related to Iran and Ukraine.
