Cancer drug margin caps bring uneven price cuts, patented drugs unchanged

After the government capped trade margins on 137 cancer medicines, companies announced revised prices for 543 formulations. Prices stayed the same for 146, and patented drugs such as pembrolizumab saw no change. The biggest cut was for chemotherapy drug Thiotepa, down from Rs 80,071 to Rs 7,150 per 100 mg vial, while Pertuzumab fell to Rs 30,593.
