Skoda-VW to give ARAI land near Pune for new EV crash test centre

Skoda Auto Volkswagen India will transfer land next to its Chakan plant near Pune to ARAI for a new crash testing facility for electric and conventional vehicles. The two signed an MoU on October 30. The centre will add capacity for Bharat NCAP tests and export certification, though the land size, cost and commissioning date have not been disclosed.
