Salesforce to buy defence AI startup Rune for a reported $375 million

Salesforce has agreed to acquire Rune Technologies, which builds AI software to help the US military forecast supply needs and manage field logistics, for $375 million in cash and stock, according to reports. The deal strengthens Missionforce, Salesforce's defence unit, whose business has grown 80% year on year, helped by a 10-year, $5.6 billion US Army contract.
