Bihar floats tender for resort-style tourism hub inside Bhimbandh sanctuary
Weeks after a highway-linked MoU was cancelled, Bihar's forest department has floated a tender for tourism facilities on 12.9 acres inside Bhimbandh Wildlife Sanctuary. Plans include a helipad, 104 cottages, 12 tree-houses, a spa and a wedding auditorium, with about ₹62.87 crore investment and a 60-year concession. Such commercial construction needs National Board for Wildlife approval, and a 2023 Supreme Court order restrains building in sanctuaries.
