Sukhbir Badal promises 'Build Punjab' department and ₹5 power for industry

Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal said that if his party wins Punjab's 2027 Assembly election, industry will get power at ₹5 per unit, down from ₹10-12 now. Speaking to traders in Patiala, he promised a 'Build Punjab' department for time-bound clearances to builders and said industrialists could install their own solar plants to bring power costs down to ₹1.50 per unit.
