'Zombie' bacteria keep producing DNA after they die, study finds

Researchers at Denmark's Aarhus University have found that bacteria can keep producing DNA even after they die, and have worked out a way to control what gets made. The team says the surprising discovery of these 'zombie' bacteria could eventually help in developing new kinds of biological materials.
