PI Industries to launch India's first homegrown insecticide molecule

PI Industries will launch Pioxaniliprole, India's first indigenously discovered insecticide molecule, under the brand Pioxazon in the coming rabi season after approval from the Central Insecticides Board. Cleared for rice, chilli, tomato and chickpea, it targets pests such as stem borer and fall armyworm. MD Mayank Singhal said development took over a decade and about Rs 2,000 crore.
