Assam to hold recruitment exams for 5,734 posts on February 1

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that recruitment exams for 5,734 posts across six government departments will be held on February 1, 2027, giving aspirants three months to prepare. Assam Police has the most openings with 2,236 posts, followed by the Forest Department with 1,307, home guards with 827 and the Assam Police Radio Organisation with 684.
