NIA takes over Kochi synagogue arson case

The National Investigation Agency has taken over the probe into the alleged arson attack on the 800-year-old Kadavumbhagam Synagogue in Ernakulam, following a Union Home Ministry directive. Kochi police had invoked UAPA against accused Ebin Paul, citing suspected cryptocurrency payments, reconnaissance videos and messages referring to sensitive targets, including Jewish places of worship.
