Bajaj to ramp up Chetak e-scooter output to 80,000 units a month

Bajaj Auto plans to raise monthly production of its Chetak electric scooter from just over 62,000 units to about 80,000 by January-March 2027. Joint Managing Director Rakesh Sharma said after the Q2 FY2027 results that demand continues to exceed production. The company is also evaluating locations for a sixth plant and plans to expand the Chetak range.
