Audi recalls 9,048 Q4 e-tron EVs in US over battery fire risk

Volkswagen Group of America has told owners of 9,048 Audi Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron vehicles from the 2024 and 2025 model years not to charge beyond 80% because of a possible high-voltage battery fire risk. A permanent fix is not ready yet, and the root cause remains under investigation. Owners can check their VIN on NHTSA's lookup tool.
