Assam to hold recruitment exams for 5,734 posts on Feb 1

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that recruitment exams for 5,734 posts across six government departments will be held on February 1, 2027, giving aspirants three months to prepare. Assam Police has the most openings with 2,236 posts, followed by the Forest Department with 1,307, home guards 827, APRO 684, fire services 489 and prisons 191.
