Snowdonia's 83-mile slate trail links old quarries with mountain walks
The Llwybr Llechi Eryri, or Snowdonia Slate Trail, is an 83-mile loop around the Welsh national park, starting in Bangor and ending in Bethesda. It strings together abandoned slate quarries such as the vast Dorothea complex with some of the UK's finest riverside and mountain walking. Villages like Llanberis, Beddgelert and Betws-y-Coed make handy stops along the way.
