Andhra Pradesh on red alert as very severe cyclone heads for coast

The cyclonic storm brewing over the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a "very severe cyclonic storm", the IMD said, with landfall expected between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam on October 28. Winds could reach 130 kmph, and a red alert has been issued for 13 districts on October 27 and 28. Last year's Cyclone Montha was rated "severe".
