Sensex, Nifty open higher as crude oil prices ease
Indian markets opened higher on Monday, with the Sensex rising 1.05% to 75,242.57 and the Nifty 50 gaining over 0.9% to 23,259. Strong earnings and a 2% drop in Brent crude to around $111 a barrel, amid talks to resolve the Iran-US war, lifted sentiment. The rupee, however, slipped 21 paise to 94.97 against the dollar in early trade.
