Thousands join Gen Z protests in Berlin and 30 other German cities

Thousands gathered at Platz des 18 Maerz near Berlin's Brandenburg Gate and in more than 30 other German cities on Saturday as a wave of student protests sweeping Europe reached Germany. Organised by an alliance called Gen Z Regelt, the rallies reflect young Germans' frustration over the rising cost of living amid military spending and conscription.
