Luigi Mangione's lawyers seek dismissal of state murder case

Lawyers for Luigi Mangione have again asked a court to dismiss his New York state case over the killing of UnitedHealthcare executive Brian Thompson, citing state double jeopardy law. Mangione pleaded guilty in August to two federal stalking charges over the December 2024 shooting, weeks before his state murder trial was due to begin.
