Turning science into public services must be priority: MoES Secretary

Ministry of Earth Sciences Secretary T. Srinivasa Kumar has said converting scientific advances into public services should be the priority, while keeping economic development environmentally sustainable. Highlighting India's progress in ocean forecasting and technology, he said the Bharat Forecast System has greatly improved ocean-related services, helping fishing communities raise their catches two to four times through more accurate forecasts.
