Kerala removes Kochi police chief over Cheranalloor car crash probe

Kerala has removed IGP S. Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar as Kochi City police chief amid alleged mishandling of the Cheranalloor crash, in which a 55-year-old man was killed by a speeding luxury car allegedly driven by an additional judge's 17-year-old son. R. Nishanthini is likely to replace him. Four officers of the Cheranalloor station were suspended a day earlier.
