Upset NC MLAs meet in Srinagar after Omar's cabinet expansion

Eighteen National Conference MLAs unhappy with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's induction of four new ministers met at a party legislator's residence in Srinagar on Friday. Legislators said discontent had simmered since 2024 over senior leaders feeling sidelined, and called the cabinet choices arbitrary. Omar's campaign promises of portfolios for big victory margins had raised expectations.
