Supreme Court asks EC to probe bulk Form 7 filings in UP voter roll revision

The Supreme Court on Friday directed the Election Commission to examine alleged irregularities in bulk Form 7 submissions during the Special Intensive Revision of Uttar Pradesh's electoral rolls. A bench led by CJI Surya Kant asked petitioners, including Congress MP Tanuj Punia, to submit a note on the issues, after which the EC must take corrective steps and file a compliance report.
