Solar-powered electric reefer trailers reach first customer

Australia's first regular-production solar-powered electric trailer refrigeration unit is now in real service. Wickham Freight Lines bought Sunswap Endurance units after a 1,670 km Sydney-Brisbane round-trip trial over 30 hours ended with more than 65% battery left. The system keeps food and medicines cold without the diesel generators that usually power reefers.
