'Ferritin face' trend: doctors say looks can't diagnose low iron

A TikTok and Instagram trend called 'ferritin face' claims low iron leaves visible clues such as pale skin, dark circles, brittle hair and weak nails. Doctors say appearance alone cannot diagnose iron deficiency. GP Dr Aziza Sesay said it is not a medical diagnosis but may hint something is wrong, as such signs can also point to other conditions.
