Centre halts construction in Delhi-NCR, orders 50% work from home

The Centre has ordered a halt to construction and demolition work in Delhi-NCR from November 5 to 20 to curb pollution, with exemptions for railways, metro, airports, hospitals, defence and projects of national importance. Government and private offices must run with only 50% staff attending physically, the rest working from home. Air quality is expected to turn 'poor' from November 1.
