Dockworkers at 110 ports in 22 countries strike in solidarity with Gaza

More than 25 dockworkers' unions at over 110 ports across 22 countries on five continents went on strike on October 30 in solidarity with Gaza. The action builds on a February 2025 effort by Mediterranean unions to disrupt weapons shipments to Israel. "Weapons need transport, infrastructure and workers' hands," said Markos Bekris of Greece's dockworkers' union ENEDEP.
