Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad regrets remark on suicide funerals

Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad has expressed regret after saying people should not attend funerals of farmers who die by suicide. He claimed he was referring to those who ruin households with drugs and that the remark was misinterpreted. Deputy CM Eknath Shinde was reportedly upset and proposed his suspension. Gaikwad had urged struggling farmers to seek help instead.
