UAE court jails eight for life over arms supplies to Sudan's army

An Abu Dhabi appeals court has sentenced eight people to life imprisonment for supplying weapons and military equipment to Sudan's army through a money-laundering network, state news agency WAM said. They were also found to have forged documents using UAE companies and bank accounts. The convicts will be deported after serving their sentences, amid tensions between Khartoum and Abu Dhabi.
