4,500-year-old wreck off Turkey may be world's oldest shipwreck
Archaeologists believe a wreck found in shallow waters off Kekova, west of Antalya in Turkey, may be the world's oldest, tentatively dated to 2700-2400 BCE based on its pottery cargo. The previous record holder, off Dokos in Greece, is about 4,200 years old. The findings are yet to be published in a peer-reviewed journal.
