SC tells States to fund bar rooms, washrooms for women lawyers

The Supreme Court has directed all States and Union Territories to allocate funds for bar rooms, washrooms and other basic facilities for women advocates in district and taluk courts. A Bench led by CJI Surya Kant said such facilities must be provided regardless of how many women practise there, whatever land or money it takes. The case will be heard again on December 2.
