Akhilesh Yadav meets jailed Azam Khan ahead of UP polls

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav met veteran leader Azam Khan in Rampur district jail, declaring that Azam 'was, is and will remain'. The meeting comes four months before the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Although Azam faces many cases and convictions, he is still seen by supporters as an influential Muslim leader with an intact base in Rampur.
