Former US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has been accused of posting an unauthorised statement on fabricated State Department letterhead to explain the end of her role as special envoy for the Shield of the Americas initiative. Her October 16 post said the job was always a six-month posting, but sources told Politico department leadership never approved it.
