Halloween chocolate prices jump over 15% in the US

American shoppers are facing much higher prices for Halloween treats this year as cost-of-living pressures persist. Analysis by Groundwork Collaborative and the Century Foundation found popular Halloween chocolates and sweets cost 15.3% more than in 2025. Some shoppers in Manhattan said they were spending $20 to $30 on trick-or-treat candy, up from their usual $15 to $20.
