Disruptive raises $10 billion fund for big AI and defence bets

Dallas-based investment firm Disruptive, an early backer of Palantir, Airbnb and Spotify, has announced a $10 billion fund to back at least 10 late-stage companies with cheques of up to $1 billion, focusing on AI and defence. It is the firm's first blind-pool fund. Founded in 2012 by Alex Davis, Disruptive has also invested heavily in Groq and ElevenLabs.
