Petitioners urge SC to preserve SIR files; hearing set for Nov 17

Petitioners including Rahul Gandhi and INDIA bloc leaders asked the Supreme Court to order preservation of files and notings on the SIR exercise, claiming the Election Commission had effectively accepted charges about Form 6. The EC denies all allegations and says SIR orders were unanimous. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta urged against political rhetoric. CJI Surya Kant's bench listed the matter for November 17.
