MP police inspector run over by truck during liquor smuggling check

Khategaon town inspector Dileep Puri was killed in Madhya Pradesh's Dewas district after a truck driver ran him over around 1.30 am on the Indore-Betul highway. Acting on a tip-off about illicit liquor smuggling, Puri had stopped the parked truck and asked the driver to step out, but the driver suddenly drove onto the divider, crushing him under the rear wheel.
