Dakar Rally 2027 moved out of Saudi Arabia over regional tensions

The 2027 Dakar Rally, scheduled for January, will be held outside Saudi Arabia due to 'recent developments in the region', organisers Amaury Sport Organisation and Saudi Motorsport Company said. A new host will be announced in the coming days, with a planned return to Saudi Arabia in 2028. The kingdom has hosted the off-road race since 2020.
