UK volunteer, 78, says Reform councillor compared her to Nazi collaborator

Mair Godley, 78, says Reform UK Essex councillor Carl Johnson accused her of 'facilitating the invasion' for teaching English to asylum seekers at the former Wethersfield military base. At a parish council meeting on October 14, Johnson reportedly likened her help to aiding Germany during the second world war. Reform took control of Essex county council in May 2026.
