After Tiger Shroff firing case, Maharashtra orders checks on bike taxi drivers

Maharashtra will step up scrutiny of bike taxi aggregators Ola, Uber and Rapido, with RTO officials told to routinely verify drivers' backgrounds, permits and licences. Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik ordered legal action against violators. The move follows two cases involving Rapido drivers, including a suspect in the recent firing on actor Tiger Shroff.
