Chennai hospital uses HANCHOR valve to treat leaking aortic valve

Kauvery Hospital in Alwarpet, Chennai, treated a 63-year-old man with severe aortic valve leakage through transcatheter aortic valve replacement using HANCHOR technology. The case was complex because his valve had a hole and he had earlier had a mitral valve replacement. The balloon-expandable valve uses a nitinol anchoring mechanism. Checks showed no remaining leakage, and the patient went home three days later.
