Regulators halt Sun Pharma's eye-drug output at Assam plant
India's drug regulators have ordered Sun Pharma to stop making, selling and distributing eye-care products from its Assam facility after a joint inspection found failures in its quality management system. The August order followed the company's voluntary recall of about 11 eye-care brands. Production can resume only after a satisfactory compliance report, amid wider scrutiny of Indian drug quality.
