Kotak Mahindra Bank Q2 profit rises 26% to ₹5,645 crore

Kotak Mahindra Bank posted a 26% year-on-year rise in September-quarter net profit to ₹5,645.38 crore, beating analysts' estimates but missing some brokerages' forecasts of 27-32% growth. Total income grew 18% to ₹29,426.88 crore and other income rose nearly 25%. Asset quality improved, with gross NPAs falling to 1.04% from 1.39% a year earlier.
