AI reads face photos to estimate biological age and cancer survival risk
Researchers have developed FAHR-Face, an AI model trained on over 40 million facial photos to estimate biological age and predict mortality risk. It estimated age with an average error of about five years, and among 38,183 cancer patients at six Harvard-affiliated US centres, those who looked older than their age had poorer survival. The study appeared in The Lancet Digital Health.
