Flávio Bolsonaro reportedly flies to US after election defeat

Brazilian far-right senator Flávio Bolsonaro has reportedly left Brazil for the United States after losing Sunday's presidential election to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, having missed a deadline to hand over his passport. Local media said he was expected to land in Florida and seek political asylum, travelling with his wife and two daughters. Lula's Workers' Party has approached the supreme court.
