TVS to raise EV output to 80,000 a month as e-scooters top 20% share

TVS Motor plans to lift electric two-wheeler production to 80,000 units a month by March 2027, from about 60,000-65,000 now, CEO KN Radhakrishnan told investors. EVs make up about 11-12% of India's two-wheeler market and over 20% of scooters. TVS's EV sales more than doubled in the second quarter to 1,86,186 units.
