GAIL's quarterly profit more than doubles on gas marketing boost

State-owned GAIL more than doubled its September-quarter net profit to ₹4,650.22 crore, driven by its natural gas marketing business, whose pre-tax profit jumped over 2.5 times to ₹3,284.3 crore. Revenue from operations rose 31.2% to ₹45,924 crore. Gas transmission volumes stood at 130.1 MMSCMD, and the company expects around 126-127 MMSCMD on average in FY27.
