BYD's workforce tops 1 million, more than four rivals combined

BYD now employs more than 1.02 million people, chairman Wang Chuanfu said, more than Toyota, GM, Ford and Tesla combined. The figure marks a sharp jump from about 869,600 employees the Chinese carmaker reported at the end of 2025, reflecting its rapid expansion.
