Tamil Nadu college teachers say work suffers with education director on leave

Tamil Nadu's college teachers' association says daily work is suffering because the Director of Collegiate Education, a post held by an IAS officer since January 2024 instead of a senior principal, is on medical leave. The Commissioner of Technical Education is holding additional charge. The director also chairs the vice-chancellor convener committees of Bharathidasan and Madurai Kamaraj universities.
