Evidence in 124 cases allegedly stolen from Kochi court, probe begins

Ernakulam Central police have launched a probe into the alleged theft of material evidence in 124 cases from the evidence room of a Judicial First Class Magistrate court in Kochi. According to the FIR, the thefts took place between January 2016 and September 2026. The case, filed on a junior superintendent's complaint, invokes BNS Section 306.
